Taste Test Tuesday

Good morning!  Once again it’s Taste Test Tuesday, and we wanted to sample a cake fitting for all of this Spring like weather.  So stop in today and sample our Orange Pineapple Cake:  Moist Orange Cake Layers with fresh Pineapple between each layer and surrounded with our Pineapple Cream Cheese Frosting.  Have a great day, and we’ll see you for lunch!

Lunch Specials

Good Morning!  We hope everyone had a great weekend.  We have two delicious lunch specials this week, so let’s get to it!   Our first special is a Southwestern Turkey Club; Bourbon Peppercorn Turkey placed on Toasted Whole Wheat Bread with fresh Guacamole, Lettuce, Monterrey Jack Cheese, Southwestern Bacon, and finished with a touch of mayo. Our second special is an Asian Beef Sandwich; marinated and slow cooked Roast Beef topped with Homemade Pickled Veggies and placed on a Toasted Onion Roll with our own Ginger Wasabi Mayo.  Have a great week, and we’ll see you for lunch!

Taste Test Tuesday

Good morning, and happy Taste Test Tuesday!  We are bringing back a favorite and fun Sweetery creation for you to sample today, our Funky Monkey Layer Cake; three Banana cake layers filled with a Peanut Butter Mousse, topped with our Salted Caramel Frosting, and finished with a Cooked Fudge drizzle! Lunch Specials

Good morning to everyone! We hope you had a wonderful weekend. Let’s start the week with some mouth watering lunch specials. Our first special is a Grinder Sandwich; Applewood Smoked Ham topped with Roasted Green Peppers, Tomatoes, and melted Provolone Cheese, then placed on Toasted Sourdough Bread with Honey Mustard and a savory Herb Mayo.  Our second special is in celebration of Mardi Gras, a Grilled Chicken Muffuletta; warm Grilled Chicken Breast topped with Mozzarella Cheese, Lettuce, and homemade Olive Spread placed on a toasted Onion Roll with just enough Sriracha Mayo to bring it all together.

Taste Test Tuesday

Good morning and Happy Taste Test Tuesday!  In honor of Valentine’s Day we’re giving you all of our love with THREE cakes today for you to choose from.  We have our Cheesecake Cakes available now, and we want you to know about it. First we’ll have our Seduced by Chocolate Cake; two moist Chocolate Velvet Cake layers with a Creamy Cheesecake Layer between them and surrounded with our Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. Oh, and did I mention that we put a Rich, Crunchy, Deliciously Sinful Hazelnut Filling between the layers?  Your next choice today is our Strawberry Cheesecake Cake:  As if our Strawberry Cake wasn’t good enough, we’ve taken one layer out and replaced it with a Creamy Cheesecake layer!  And finally we will have our Red Velvet Cheesecake Cake:  As if we didn’t seduce you enough with our Strawberry/Cheesecake/Strawberry Layer Cake, we’re doing the same thing with our Red Velvet Cake! Lunch Specials

Good Monday morning! Love is in the air, and with Valentine’s Day two days away we want to offer you two lunch specials that you just might want to enjoy with that special someone this week! Our first special is a Spinach and Strawberry Salad Wrap; fresh Spinach and Strawberries tossed together with Grilled Chicken, Blue Cheese Crumbles, and Toasted Almonds, and finished with our Homemade Strawberry Vinaigrette Dressing.  Our second special is a Carolina Deli Shag; In this order, you have Swiss Cheese, Corned Beef, Slaw, Pastrami, Provolone Cheese, Pickles, and our own Horseradish Dijon Mustard nicely placed between two slices of Toasted Pumpernickel Bread.

Taste Test Tuesday

Happy Taste Test Tuesday!  Today we are introducing a new cake just in time for Valentine’s Day.  Stop in for a taste of our Chocolate Covered Cherry Cake:  two Chocolate Velvet Cake Layers soaked in a little Cherry Juice, filled with cherries and vanilla frosting, and covered with our Homemade Cooked Fudge Frosting.  Stop in today and let us know what you think!

Lunch Specials

Good morning!  What an exciting game last night!  Well it’s back to work, and we have some great lunch specials to help you enjoy keep you going!  Our first lunch special is a Southern Cheese Steak Sandwich;   slow cooked Roast Beef placed on a toasted Onion roll with Sweet Onions, our homemade Pimento Cheese, and finished with a tasty Chimichurri Aioli.  Our second special is a Sweet and Spicy Ham Sandwich;  Applewood Smoked Ham placed on Toasted Sourdough Bread with Provolone Cheese, a delicious Sweet and Spicy Pepper Slaw, and finished with a Sweet Chili Mayo.  Have a great week, and we’ll see you for lunch.

Add a little Spice to your Super Bowl Snacks – Firecracker Recipe














The Super Bowl is one of many occasions, during the year, that call for a spread a delicious snacks! We all have our go-to pigs in a blanket, buffalo chicken dip or homemade salsa, but what if you want to spice up the same old snacks with something fresh and new? We have just the thing!


What will you need??

  • 2 sleeves of saltine crackers
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
  • 1 package Hidden Valley dry ranch dressing mix
  • Shake of cayenne pepper

Let’s put it all together!!

  1. Empty saltines into a gallon plastic bag. Set aside. 
  2. Combine the remaining ingredients and whisk until well mixed. 
  3. Pour the mixture over the crackers and seal the plastic bag.
  4. Let stand for 30 minutes, turning from time to time to thoroughly marinate the crackers.
  5. Empty the crackers onto a parchment-lined cookie sheets. The crackers do not have to spread out in a single layer.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes at 200 degrees. Cool thoroughly and seal in an airtight container.
