Here is everything you need to put together your gift!
3 cups extra-virgin olive oil
5 garlic cloves, smashed
3 fresh thyme sprigs
3 fresh rosemary sprigs
3 fresh sage sprigs
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Let’s Make the Dressing!
1. Thoroughly wash and dry the herbs before adding to the oil to prevent bacterial growth
2. Heat the first 9 ingredients in a large, deep skillet until the oil warms and the garlic and herbs begin to sizzle, about 5 minutes
3. Remove from heat and cool completely, about 4 hours
4. Pour the oil through a cheesecloth-lined strainer into a bowl, discard the solids. Transfer the infused oil into small bottles and store in the refrigerator up to 1 month.
