Good Monday morning! We have two great lunch specials this week that I can’t wait to tell you about, so let’s get started. Our first special is in honor of Independence Day, and I can think of a better way to enjoy it than with a good hot dog. With that said, we will be serving an All American Hot Dog; Black Angus all Beef Frank topped with delicious Pulled Pork Barbecue and Homemade Cole Slaw.
It’s extremely hot, so our next lunch special this week is a simple, yet satisfying sandwich called a Turkey Cool Down; our Bourbon Peppercorn Turkey placed on Whole Wheat Bread with American Cheese, Lettuce, fresh Red Bell Pepper Strips, Sweet Vidalia Onions, and finished with our own Lemon Pepper Aioli.
Don’t forget to pick up your Fourth of July Dessert either today or tomorrow. We’ll be baking fresh Blueberry Pies, Apple Pies, Cookies, and Strawberry Cakes for you to enjoy. Have a great week, and we’ll see you soon!
It’s Taste Test Tuesday, and you know what that means! Stop in today and sample one of our seasonal cakes. In honor of Independence Day we are showing off our Red White and Blue Cake; Spongy yellow layers soaked with fresh Strawberries and Blueberries then surrounded with our Whipped Cream Cheese Frosting. Good Morning! What a hot week it’s going to be and I thought we would have two great lunch specials to cool you off. Let’s get to it. Our first lunch special this week is a Grilled Chicken and Black Bean Salad Wrap; sliced Mesquite Grilled Chicken tucked inside a flour tortilla with Lettuce, Homemade Black Bean Salsa, fresh Tomatoes, Crumbled Cotilla Cheese, and a delicious Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette to finish it off.
Our second special is a Bistro Style Roast Beef Sandwich; our slow cooked Roast Beef topped with melted Provolone cheese, Caramelized Onions, and Green Tomato Relish, then placed on Country White Bread with our own Peppercorn Mayo.
We had some bittersweet news this morning. One of our family members will be leaving us. Mr. Grantland is moving away from us and he will be sadly missed. We want to thank him for all he has done for us, and wish him safe travels. We love you Mr. Grantland. On a happier note, we’re baking some delicious seasonal treats that wont be here for long. Good morning! It’s going to be a busy week so let’s get started. Our first lunch special is a Mediterranean Turkey Stacker; sliced Bourbon Roasted Turkey breast on warm Naan bread with tomatoes, spinach, red onions, kalamata olives, and crumbled feta cheese, and served with a side of homemade Tsatziki sauce.
Our second lunch special is a Bruschetta Style BLT; crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella cheese on toasted Wheatberry bread with our own Balsamic Vinaigrette.
Aged Cheddar Pimento Cheese
1 lb block Aged White Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1 small jar of Pimentos
½ cup of your favorite mayonaise
salt and pepper to taste
Mix ingredients in a small bowl. Refrigerate, serve with your favorite The Sweetery Wine Sticks.
The Sweetery used this spread in a local “Farm to Fork” event when we first introduced our Apple Wine sticks and it was a HIT!
Orange Cream Cheese Spread
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/8 tsp ground ginger
1/3 cup orange marmalade
Mix ingredients until smooth, refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with your favorite The Sweetery Wine Sticks.
2 Kiwis, peeled and diced
2 apples – peeled, cored and diced
8 oz blueberries
1 lb of strawberries, quartered
2 TBL granulated sugar
1 TBL brown sugar
3 TBL fruit preserves, any flavor
Thoroughly mix fruit with sugars and preserves. Refrigerate at least 15 minutes. Serve with The Sweetery’s Cinnamon Espresso Wine Sticks.

It’s Taste Test Tuesday and we have the perfect cake to brighten up your day! Today’s cake is one of my favorite, the Blueberry Lemon Surprise; fresh Blueberries baked inside Lemon Cake and stacked three layers high with Lemon Cookies between them. To finish it off, we surround this cake with our own Basil Cream Cheese Frosting. I promise if you love summer, you will love this cake. See you for lunch!
Good morning! Let’s get this week started shall we. We have two very delicious lunch specials for you this week. Our first special is a Blueberry Peach Salad; Bourbon Peppercorn Turkey placed on top of a bed of fresh spring mix and accompanied with fresh sweet Peaches, Blueberries, Vidalia Onions, and your choice of Boursin Cheese or if you like a little spice Pepperjack Cheese and finished with a delicious Melon Yogurt dressing.
Our second special is a Sweet and Spicy Ham Sammy; Black Forest Ham topped with a blend of Sweet Cherry Peppers and hot Banana Peppers, Lettuce, and Havarti Cheese, and placed on toasted Sourdough bread with a homemade Sweet Peach Mustard.
Tomorrow is Taste Test Tuesday, and with all of the fruits available now I can’t decide what to make. But I promise that you will want to try it. Also, we are preparing for our trip to Washington, D.C. for the Summer Fancy Food Show this weekend. We hope to bring back some new ideas as well as a few new customers.
